Day 8: Gorilla trekking and Batwa Community Visit Dance Experience

This day is the highlight of your safari as you embark on a once-in-a-lifetime experience of gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable National Park. After an early breakfast, you will make your way to the park headquarters for a briefing by the park rangers about the do’s and don’ts during the trek and to be assigned to a gorilla family group to visit.
Bwindi Impenetrable National Park specifically a home to over half of the world’s remaining mountain gorillas, with about 20 gorilla families that are habituated to human presence, making it the best place for gorilla trekking in the world. The gorillas live in the dense forests and tracking them can take anywhere between 2 to 8 hours, depending on the location of the gorilla family and the terrain of the forest.
Once you locate your assigned gorilla family, you will spend a maximum of one hour observing and interacting with them. You will get an up-close and personal experience of the gorillas in their natural habitat, observing them as they play, feed, groom and rest. Batwa Community
